Why do I have to get my product tested?

Regular quality control checks ensure consistent quality and prevents costly recalls or warranty claims. Even if the product performs flawlessly, then also it needs to be tested prior export to any foreign country.

Can I sell my product without testing?

It totally depends on the type of product. Several products (such as pharmaceuticals, electrical appliances, processed foods, etc.) mandatorily requires testing as per various regulatory bodies, but some of the products (such as furniture, stationery, etc.) do not require any mandatory testing.

Why should I use an independent test lab rather than testing in-house?

In-house laboratories may not have proficiency in all areas and may face issues like lack of expertise for different products testing. Testing in an independent testing lab ensures integrity along with unbiased results.

How much sample should I send for testing?

The size or quantity of sample required depends upon the type and number of test parameters like number and type of test required, product to be tested and testing methods.

Are all your procedures documented?

Yes, all the testing procedures performed in laboratories of Sigma are well-documented and validated.

Will the time taken for testing slow down my product’s time to market?

It is a matter of fact that testing takes time and can slow down the launch of a product in the market, we act in an advanced planned manner to compensate the delay. Our experts at Sigma try their best to keep it to a minimum.

Is your lab Accredited to NABL and FSSAI?

Sigma Test & Research Center is accredited to National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) as per Certificate number, TC-5369. We are also accredited to Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Can you provide documentation to show trace ability to national standards?

All measuring instruments used in Sigma for calibration purpose carry documentation that shows their trace ability to national as well as international standards.
